8th Grade English Language Arts Course Description

Extensive focus is given to collaborative understanding English language conventions, vocabulary, writing strategies, speaking and presentation skills, and fiction and non-fiction reading fluency and comprehension.  In-depth discussions will occur on character analysis, informational documents, current events, poetry, and literary themes. An extensive exhibition research project will be performed this year.  More information about this assignment will be sent home with your student this fall.
